Know what is worth automating before you build it.

The Automation Audit is the first step of every engagement. We talk to the people who do the work, time each step and score every opportunity on value, effort and risk. You get a written report and a fixed-scope proposal for the first pilot.

Duration
1–2 weeks
Format
Remote, by video call and screen share
Fee
Fixed, agreed in writing upfront
You get
A written report and a pilot proposal
01Deliverables

What you take away.

  • Process map

A diagram of the process as it runs today: who does each step, in which system and where it waits. We draw it from interviews and screen shares, and the people who do the work check it.

  • Hours baseline

How often each step happens, how long it takes and how many cases need special handling. We measure it from samples and system data where we can. Every later result is compared with it.

  • Ranked list of opportunities

Every candidate for automation, scored on value, effort and risk, with an estimate of the hours it could return. The top of the list is where a pilot should start.

  • Data and security review

We list the systems, data and access each opportunity needs, flag any personal data and name the model providers and regions that fit. Your IT or data protection lead can check every line.

  • Pilot proposal with a fixed scope

It covers one workflow: what it will do, how its results will be measured and what we need from you. It comes with a fixed price and timeline.

  • A walk-through of the findings

A call with you and anyone you invite. We go through the report, answer questions and leave the decision with you.

02How it works

Four steps, one decision.

  1. 01

    Agree the scope

A short call to choose the processes in scope, the people we should talk to and the systems involved. We then confirm the fixed fee and the dates in writing.

  2. 02

    Map and measure

We interview the people who do the work and watch it on screen. We time real cases and, with read-only access where you allow it, count volumes in your systems.

  3. 03

    Rank the opportunities

We score every opportunity on value, effort and risk, and check the data and security questions each one raises.

  4. 04

    Propose a pilot

We hand over the report and the pilot proposal, then walk you through both. What happens next is your decision.

03Fit

Who it is for, and who it isn't.

A good fit if

  • Some of the work in your company repeats every day or every week, and a person does it by hand.
  • You can name one person who owns the process and can make decisions about it.
  • The people who do the work can spare about an hour each for an interview and a screen share.
  • You want measured numbers before you commit to building anything.

Not a fit if

  • You want a chatbot live by Friday.
  • Nobody on your side can own the process or give us time with the people who do it.
  • The work happens a few times a year or changes every month, so there is little to automate.
  • You want a slide deck on AI strategy rather than a change in how the work gets done.
04Fee

A fixed fee, agreed in writing.

The fee is fixed and agreed in writing before any work begins. It covers the interviews and screen shares, the analysis, the written report, the pilot proposal and the walk-through. It does not grow if the work takes us longer. Adding a process along the way is agreed in writing first.

The fee depends on the number of processes in scope. We quote it after a short scope call and agree it in writing before we start.

05Questions

Questions before you book.

What does the audit cost?

A fixed fee that depends on how many processes are in scope. We quote it after a short scope call and agree it in writing before any work starts. It does not grow if the work takes us longer than planned.

How much time will it take from our people?

About an hour with each person who does the work, for an interview and a screen share. The process owner joins the scope call and the walk-through of the findings. We plan the sessions around your week.

Do you need access to our systems?

Read-only access helps us count real volumes, but it isn't required. We can work from screen shares and anonymised samples instead. Any access is limited to what the audit needs and removed when it ends. More on how we handle data.

What if you find nothing worth automating?

Then the report says so, with the numbers that show why. It is better to learn that from an audit than from a build.

Are we committed to anything after the audit?

No. The report and the pilot proposal are yours to keep. You can run the pilot with us, take the proposal to another supplier or build it in-house.

Can one audit cover several processes?

Yes. The fee depends on how many processes are in scope, so we agree the list on the scope call. We suggest one or two related processes, so the audit stays within 1–2 weeks.

Pick the process with the most hours.

Tell us which process takes the most hours. We agree the scope and the fixed fee in writing before any work begins.
